Day 6 - Home
"I got to say, today was a good day"
We were finally given our discharge papers from the NICU. I can't tell you how wonderful a feeling it is to have the family together at home. Jaxson is looking great in his new clothes and is adjusting to his new digs.

Day 5
What a day, what a day...
After discussions with the Doctors, we delayed Jaxson's homecoming a day. Kristy was discharged and we'll be able to sleep in our own bed tonight. It's been a stressful and tiring day and we are wiped out. Unfortunately, we have to make 1 more trip back to the hospital for an 11PM feeding. We'll have more information about Jaxs' trip home tomorrow morning after we meet with the Docs again.
Below you can see Jaxs' reaction to when we told him that he has to stay in the NICU one more night.

Day 4
Jaxson is getting more and more expressive each day. We've enjoyed his little quirks and faces he makes. Today Randy received his first golden shower when he failed to use a pee pee teepee. "Fool me once shame on me..."

Day 3
With each day we are making more and more progress. Jaxs is nursing more and his jaundice is improving with each tanning session. We're still trying to figure out who he resembles in the family. Post your opinion in the comments.

Day 2
Jaxs was feeling a bit jaundiced today so we sent him to the Newport Beach NICU tanning salon. Here he is working on his tan. Rest assured he won't be getting any Jersey Shore spray tans. Mom and baby are recovering really well. Breast feeding is progressing with each attempt. As for me I am trying to keep everything together as best as a scatterbrained new father can. With that said, and I think Kristy would agree, "So far, So GOOD"
Thank you all for you messages of love and support. We value them all close to our hearts.

Easter Sunday - 37 Weeks
Little did we know what the day would hold for us when we took this picture...
Water breaking, earthquakes and a new baby
3 Weeks Early - Introducing Jaxson Donald Loganbill
Our little boy Jaxs was born early early this morning at 1:43am, weighing in at 5lbs 15 oz and stretching out to 19 inches. We had a tough night last night. After pushing as hard as she could and having some help with a vacuum he just wasn't budging. So we moved to the OR and had a C-section. Turns out Jaxs likes to tie knots with his umbilical cord and looped it 3 times around his neck with a slip knot. The little dude is recovering well in the NICU now and Kristy is doing the same in her room. We'll be here through the week and will hopefully get to go home by Friday.
